Our Story
After I had my daughter in 2013, I decided that I no longer wanted to style my
hair with braids and sew-ins. I wanted her to know that she was beautiful just
the way God created her. I tried different natural hair products, but none of
them really worked for me. Not only could I barely pronounce the ingredients on
the labels, but most of the products on the market contained some form of
coconut oil, to which I am allergic. I quickly became frustrated with wasting my
money on product after product so I decided to create my own. Why not? I
knew every ingredient that would be used and no one knew what worked for my
hair better than me.
After some research, I created my first shampoo bar. I liked
the results so much that I got excited and decided to create a body bar. That’s
when I fell in love with soap making. My daughter loved everything I tried on
her and so did her skin and hair. I shared my handmade skincare products with my friends and
family and they always came back asking for more. They loved them so much
that they consistently asked me, “When are you going to sell them?” So here it
is, “Poppin’ Naturally”, where every skincare product is plant based and made with LOVE!
